also this is something thats been bothering me for a while
if ur friend is suicidal
getting a ton of strangers on tumblr to try to “”help them”“’ and broadcasting their issues for all of ur followers to see is not really
the best course of action
getting a message from a stranger saying “dont kill yourself things will get better :(” is probably!! not gonna make someone stop feeling horrible!! i know that if i got something like that when i was feeling really scared & helpless it would probably make me even more nervous to know that strangers know about whats happening? and theres definitely a large chance of them getting messages saying “kill urself lol” because people are shitty like that
like i understand that you want to help but thats really not the way to go about things and it makes me really uncomfortable to see posts like that.
if you want to ask like “does anyone know whats going on with ____ i cant contact them” then i understand a bit more but just
dont ask for strangers to send “”encouraging”“”“”messages and spread their suicidal feelings for all of tumblr to see. please. honestly if you just talk to them yourself, a message from a friend means a lot more.
